Sliding Fee Scale

(uninsured individuals only)

In time, people began to ask that our clinicians be a part of their insurance panels and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) panels to meet their needs as well.  While the Center does accept major insurance company and EAP reimbursements, we still have as our targeted population individuals and families who might not be able to afford counseling due to financial strain.

As the Center has moved toward assisting clinicians working toward their license or certification, we continue to work with both uninsured and insured individuals.  Our fees are listed below.

Fees for Services

In the winter of 2004, a group of local residents and professionals wanted to create a community counseling center to meet the needs of individuals who were uninsured, under-insured or whose financial situation might be a barrier to getting the counseling they need.  They created Coastal Counseling Center with a start-up grant and with the generous help of Southeast Georgia Health System/Camden Campus, office space was given for counseling services to be provided.  A sliding fee scale was established as an investment on the part of the client towards his or her treatment.

National Health Service Corps Sliding Fee Schedule Discount Rate

We accept Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United, Aetna, and Humana Insurance Plans.

For Georgia Medicaid CMOs, we accept Wellcare, AmeriGroup, PeachState, and Care Source plans.  We do not take Medicaid or Medicare.

Dale Blanton accepts several Employee Assistance Plans (EAP) including Military One Source, ESPYR, Magellan, ComPsych, EAP Consultants, Aetna EAP, United EAP and others.

Costs for Services Mandated by the Legal System

Coastal Counseling Center is specifically a behavioral health practice.  We have been invited to be providers for       court-ordered anger management and substance abuse counseling.   In situations where a client is mandated by the court, probation/parole or is referred by an attorney, the Center has a separate fee schedule for mandated services.  Again, the sliding fee scale does not apply to court-mandated clients.  Payment for services is expected at the time that service is delivered.  Those costs are as follows:

  • Initial Comprehensive Assessment - $75.00
  • Couple/Family Sessions - $45.00
  • Individual Sessions - $35.00
  • Group Sessions - $25.00
  • Anger Management Workbook - $5.00 (replacement workbook - $10.00)

Several have asked to set-up their payments automatically on their credit/debit card. By clicking the red button to the left, a secureform will open in a new tab for you to complete.  This form comes right to our office.
